At Peak View Behavioral Health in Colorado Springs, our Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) for substance use helps clients address their substance use and addiction along with any underlying co-occurring mental health concerns, such as anxiety and depression. We strive to help our clients become more like the person they want to be, without using substances to get there.

Overview

Balanced Recovery is a comprehensive and holistic program that offers a wide variety of treatment modalities to address and support each person’s unique individual story. We assist clients in achieving their goals through flexibility, understanding, and an emphasis on the importance of individual growth. Our goal is for our clients to find their own meaning of sobriety, by focusing not only on recovering, but also, rebuilding their overall quality of life. Balanced Recovery is designed for all adults aged 18+ and takes place Monday-Friday from 12:00 pm-3:00 p.m, up to 15 hours per week. Clients can address substance use, substance abuse, dependency or struggles with unhealthy behaviors. Balanced Recovery includes family support sessions, assessment and consideration for additional, mental health or psychiatric needs and connectivity to community resources.

Balanced Recovery is designed for adults age 18+ who are struggling with addiction to drugs and/or alcohol.

Balanced Recovery takes place Monday-Friday from 12:00 pm-3:00 p.m, up to 15 hours per week of intensive therapy in a group setting

Facilitated by a Master’s level clinician, interventions and supports may include:

  • Psychoeducation and therapeutic processing groups
  • Evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing
  • Optional family education and family therapy sessions
  • Introduction and exposure to community resources and supports
  • Assistance in identifying continued treatment options such as residential care, sober living, and other tools for continued recovery.
  • Resiliency and relapse prevention
  • Personalized treatment plans supporting harm-reduction approaches
